Weekend Recap: NYFW

This weekend was such a whirlwind, but my first experience at New York Fashion week was an exciting one! I flew to NYC after work on Friday evening and stayed at the Ink48 hotel in Midtown. I had an amazing experience with the hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in that area!

I brought the hotel concierge some of my glitter wine and champagne glasses to keep on hand for special occasions and celebrations at the hotel, and he sent me this bottle of rose as a thank you!

How amazing was the view from the roof? I had a similar one from my room just a few floors down.

On Saturday morning, I was off to my first fashion blogger event at Vanguard Wine Bar hosted by TheVane and sponsored by Air Optix Colors and Hangar Vodka. The bar was adorable and we were served brunch cocktails and bites, all of which was delicious!

There was a great mix of Boston and New York bloggers there and it was so fun to network and meet new people.

We had to take a "shoefie" because there were so many cute shoes on all of these stylish ladies' feet!

Kerrie from Rarely Taken Seriously and I posed for a photo.

Then it was back to the hotel for a quick outfit change before heading over to the rewardStyle event with a few Boston bloggers! The event was held on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel and it was definitely the biggest and most impressive blogger event I've ever been to. There were swag bags and gift boxes from Bluefly and Piperlime filled with silk tops and bangles for each of us to take home.

We were treated to complimentary drinks with striped straws and stirrers.

There were so many pretty pieces of jewelry at the Kendra Scott booth and they were generous enough to send each of us home with a beautiful bracelet and a fun three stone druzy ring!

I loved this funky cable sweater at the Lou & Grey table.

How cute was the zinke swimwear area? They sent each of us home with a canvas shopping tote and a voucher for any swimsuit of our choice for free! I can't wait to pick mine out.

There was also a Topshop area - I loved the table decor and took home a new bright pink lipstick!

Kerrie and I posed for a silly picture at the photobooth.

I finished off the evening by taking a photo on the rewardStyle "red carpet!"

After the events were over, I went back to my hotel and made one more outfit change before grabbing wine and cheese on the hotel's rooftop with Kerrie and then heading out to dinner with an old friend from college.

I hope you enjoyed my recap of my NYFW experience! I definitely plan to return for future fashion weeks and hope I'll have an opportunity to go to a show at some point. More photos and details of the outfits I wore to the two events will be posted on the blog later this week, so stay tuned! :)
