Runway Inspiration: Spring 2014 Couture {1}

The Spring 2014 Couture runway shows have left me totally inspired...there were so many gorgeous looks that I had to split up my top picks into two posts! {Check back tomorrow for Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad, which were my two favorite shows.}

Chanel - full of sequins, feathers, ruffles and pleats, this collection was both feminine and whimsical, making it right up my alley. I wasn't a huge fan of the sneakers or the whackadoo hair, but I did love the sparkly eye makeup.

Valentino - my favorite looks from this collection were, of course, the ballet-inspired ones. I never get tired of tulle! PS: did you catch Katy Perry wearing the music notes gown straight off the runway to the Grammys?

Christian Dior - I liked the 60s vibe this collection was throwing at me. There were some really interesting textural choices in the fabrics used which made the looks really unique, don't you think?

Giambattista Valli - crystals, bows, floral appliques, sequins...there was so much to love in this collection! The simple hair and heavy cat-eyes complimented the looks perfectly, keeping with the chic feminine vibe.

  2. Great post. I'd love to know if you have any Oscar red carpet predictions. Personally, I can't wait to see what Lupita and Margot Robbie wear!
