I'm Back!

Happy Monday everyone! I'm officially back to the blogosphere - I hope you enjoyed all of the guest posts over the last 2 weeks from my amazing blogger friends!

The weekend before my surgery, I attended my friend Ashley's black tie wedding which was beyond gorgeous. It was at the State Room in Boston which has a sky-high view over the city and every last detail was thought out, including wintry centerpieces, sparkly sequined tablecloths and delicious champagne cocktails. {It's possible I had too many of these cocktails.} I was having so much fun that I didn't snap many photos, but here are a few!

My surgery on the 15th went well for the most part, and so did the recovery, except for a bit of a scare the following Friday when I passed out in my shower, hit my head and went unconscious due to some changes in my blood pressure. It was a pretty terrifying day overall and I had to return to the hospital, but I've recovered well and am lucky to have great friends and family who took care of me and visited me while I was stuck at home!

pretty flowers from my bosses and coworkers

don't ever faint or they'll make you wear this embarrassing bracelet in the hospital!

spent a lot of time catching up on shows with my pal Bacon

being stuck inside wasn't so bad with this view!

Now that I'm feeling better, Cupcakes & Couture will be up and running as usual! Thanks as always for your support, comments and tweets! :)

  1. I'm glad you're feeling better and back at it! Those get-well flowers are gorgeous :) The shower story is pretty scary ... I've always had a fear of fainting in the shower. I've been known to pass out when I get too hot/lock my knees. Scary stuff!
