Review: Jouer Cosmetics

A few weeks ago, I received a package in the mail full of makeup from Jouer Cosmetics! They saw my post on floral body lotions which included their amazing body butter and sent me some products to try out and review. Being the beauty junkie that I am, I'm always excited to try out new makeup and share my opinions!

The first product I tried was Jouer's lip gloss in 'Malibu' before grabbing drinks last Friday night with a friend. It's a fun, bright pink with a bit of iridescent shine to it - super unique and unlike any other lip gloss color I've tried before. It complimented my black cat eye nicely. It's not at all sticky but stays put for awhile, even after a glass or two of wine! It's very moisturizing for a lip goss - my lips didn't get flaky at all when I was wearing it. I'll definitely buy this shade again when I run out of this tube!

This past Saturday night, I went out for dinner with my boyfriend. I decided to ditch my usual black cat liner and try out one of my new Jouer eyeshadows! I used the creme eyeshadow crayon in 'Baroque', a beautiful shimmering bronze shade. I've never used an eyeshadow crayon before - I always use powders and a brush - so this was new for me! I love how quick and easy it was to glide the shadow on my lid - these crayons would be so perfect to take with you on a trip to cut back on the beauty tools you have to bring. They're also a great way to put eye makeup on in the morning before work if you're in a rush! All you need is one crayon for perfectly colored lids.

To finish off my look, I used Jouer's cheek tint in 'Honeysuckle' and lip gloss in 'Peony.' I typically use a powder blush, but applying the tint to my cheeks using my fingers was super easy! I just dabbed the color a few times up my cheekbones and then used my fingers to blend it in. I love the pretty peachy-pink shade of 'Honeysuckle' and I think it would flatter most skin tones. Just like the eyeshadow crayons, the cheek tint is another easy product to toss in your bag and use on the go! I also loved the light pink shade of the lip gloss in 'Peony' - it's not as bright as 'Malibu' so it's perfect for a spring daytime look as well as a night out.

I have a few more Jouer products to try out, so I'll be back soon with a second review! In the meantime, let me know what you think of my beauty looks in the comments below.

All products were received care of Jouer Cosmetics. All opinions are my own and completely honest.
