Style Inspiration: Met Gala 2015

One of the red carpet events I look most forward to every year is the Met Gala! The most stylish celebrities are invited, and because each year's gala has a different theme, there are always some jaw-droppingly amazing {and sometimes odd} ensembles to look forward to. Last night’s theme was “China: Through the Looking Glass." I've rounded up my favorites here - let me know whose look you liked best in the comments below!

Georgia May Jagger in a Gucci custom lilac silk georgette belted floor length gown embellished with flowers and birds & hand embroidered with silk threads, glass beads and crystals, hairpiece, jewelry, and sandals. I'm obsessed with all of the colors in Georgia's dress and think the entire look is perfect for the theme of this year's gala.

Bee Shaffer in a Alexander McQueen custom gown. This dress is so flattering and the cherry blossom print is lovely. I would wear this in a heartbeat if I were so lucky!

Olivia Munn in a J. Mendel Couture hand-painted silk chiffon gown and Cindy Chao jewelry. I love the patent leather accents and the degrade ombre coloring of this gown.

Sienna Miller in a Thakoon red chiffon fringe sequined tuxedo with rope tassel belt and Jacob & Co. custom earrings. Red looks amazing on Sienna, and I can definitely see how China inspired her belt and earrings.

Emma Roberts in a Ralph Lauren green silk gown, Monique Pean three-tier kite-shaped diamond earrings and Edie Parker clutch. The color of this dress is just so beautiful, don't you think?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in vintage John Galliano for Dior gowns. These two always bring the drama! While I prefer Ashley's look, I think they both look chic.

Jennifer Lawrence in a Dior Haute Couture gown and Cartier jewelry. I love how this dress shows off Jennifer's perfectly toned body.

Olivia Wilde in a Prada dress. On what other occasion can you wear a bejeweled, cotton candy pink gown with long grey gloves and a headpiece? I love the whole thing!

Sarah Jessica Parker in a Philip Tracey hat, H&M dress and Cindy Chao brooches. I mean, who else could pull this off but SJP?!

Poppy Delevingne in a Marchesa silk poppy flower gown and Edie Parker clutch. The neckline of this gown is absolutely amazing and I love how beautifully the skirt drapes and flows.

  2. While SJP is always a winner, I have to say that Georgia May's Gucci dress was one of my favorites. She looked AMAZING and the dress was a lovely tribute!

  4. Oh my goodness, Poppy wearing poppies! LOVE. Mary-Kate & Ashley always look sick to me. Kate Hudson never goes wrong either. Love her style. I'm so over the "Sheer dress with beads covering only what's absolutely necessary". I'm glad they weren't your favorites either. I mean, it's the Met Gala! Wear an awesome cool dress! I know I would. :)
