The Chrono Classic 1/100 is modern interpretation of Victorinox's best selling chronograph watch, which was based on the famous Swiss Army knife. The new 1/100 is a "three step" watch: it can read hours, minutes and seconds down to 1/100th of a second. A simple click of the crown transitions the watch from time mode chrono mode, making it simple to use despite its complex inner workings. The video below shows you how it's done!
This watch is great for history buffs like my dad because its design is inspired by the Swiss Army knife that Victorinox is known for. The 'guilloche' grid pattern covering both discs is modeled after the shape and decoration of the Swiss Army Officers' knife, and the axis of rotation of the discs mimics the way the blades fold back into the knife.
The Chrono Classic 1/100 comes in three different models: a gold face with a brown leather band, a silver face with a black leather band, and a gold face with a silver stainless steel bracelet. All three models are water resistant to 300 feet and are scratch resistant. The model with the brown strap is my favorite because I love the mixed metals, but the model with the black strap is definitely the most masculine of the group.
If you're considering gifting a watch to the guys in your life this holiday season, I definitely recommend the Victorinox Chrono Classic 1/100! Click here to find a store in your area that carries the watch. Happy Holiday shopping!
