The Opposite of Love by Julie Buxbaum. If you read just one book off this list, this should be it - it's definitely the best book I've read in a while! Emily is in her late twenties and her life is falling apart - she's dealing with a breakup, troubles at work and issues with her family. I felt like I could totally relate to her and really connected with her character. I laughed, I cried...this book really had it all! 5 stars.
The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty. This book had a really interesting and unique plot. A hypnotist named Ellen falls in love with a new man, Patrick, whose ex Saksia is stalking him. When Saksia finds out about Ellen, she starts stalking her as well, but Ellen has no idea. It's a very suspenseful and quick read! 3.5 stars
The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. I've read a lot of Jodi's books and I love how they make me think about my morals and what I'd do in certain situations. Sage, a lonely baker, meets an elderly man who decides to open up to her and share a dark secret from his past that he's never told anyone before, and she has to make an important decision on what to do with this information. 4 stars
The Snow Queen by Michael Cunningham. I downloaded this book because it had such great reviews and was described as "beautiful and heartbreaking, comic and tragic." To be honest, I only found it tragic. I couldn't relate to any of the characters and found the storyline pretty dull. It just wasn't for me! 2 stars.
Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. I enjoyed this book about an unexpected friendship between a teenager in the foster care system and an elderly widow more than I expected to! I really loved both characters and the interesting things we found out about Vivian (the widow's) past. 3.5 stars.
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. I'm guessing many of you have already read this book since it's so popular, but I just read it last month and enjoyed it. It's definitely a page turner and I found myself feeling sympathetic for both the main characters, especially Tess. It's a quick read that makes you rethink relationships throughout the book. 3.5 stars.
Hidden by Catherine McKenzie. When Claire's husband Jeff is hit by a car and killed, she's absolutely devastated...but so is Jeff's coworker, Tish, who volunteers to attend his funeral on the company's behalf. Another page turner, this book leaves you with a huge unanswered question until the very last page - and if you're anything like me, the answer will upset you and make you think for days after you finish reading. 4 stars.
Lies You Wanted to Hear by James Whitfield Thomson. Another book that examines the complexities of relationships and makes you rethink your choices when it comes to love. Told from the perspectives of the wife, Lucy, and her husband, Matt, we follow the disintegration of a marriage from both sides. Although not as gripping as some of the other books on this list, it was definitely a good read. 3.5 stars.
The Whole Golden World by Kristina Riggle. When I read the description of this book and saw it was about a high school student having an affair with her teacher, I didn't quite know how I'd feel about the story, but I couldn't put it down! I found myself going through a bunch of feeling changes towards both of the main characters - siding with them, disliking them, liking them again...it kept me on my toes for sure. I definitely recommend it! 4 stars.

I loved the Whole Golden World! It made me want to read more of her books but I didn't like anything else she's written. Oh well --a one hit wonder for me! Adding The Opposite of Love to my list : )
