Paris: Day 1

I have officially made it to Paris! I've been planning this trip for almost a year and now it's here! I am so beyond excited that I can't even begin to describe to you how I'm feeling. Today I arrived at Charles de Gaulle around 10.30am CET and made it to my apartment around noonish. I was met by a super friendly rep from Paris Perfect who gave me the keys and a tour of the apartment and the building. It looked exactly like the photos, only better now that I had finally arrived!

Here's a mini tour I made using Instagram...

...and the view from the bedroom window. Seriously! I almost died and went to heaven!

After I unpacked everything in the apartment, I went out for a stroll around the neighborhood (7eme) to find myself some lunch. I got distracted by all the amazing pastries...

...but ended up settling on a baguette with brie and a box of macarons. And yes, I ate ALL of this food you see here!

After my lunch, I decided to go for a longer walk because I was starting to feel sleepy and jetlagged. I wanted to explore the 7eme a bit more and and get my bearings on where the apartment was in relationship to everything. When I stepped out my door and turned the corner, I found myself this close to the Eiffel Tower...

Holy moly! Talk about a great location for an apartment. My touristy Eiffel Tower shots continue below, along with a few snaps of the gorgeous architecture on the streets. There is beauty everywhere I turn, despite the off-and-on misting and the clouds.

this one might be my favorite

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves cheese so much!

And when I got home, I realized the tower had lit up for the night. Wow. I'm staring it now as I relax on the couch, type up this post and eat a delicious plate of goat cheese, fig jam, merlot grapes and haricots verts that I got at a few local shops (all using my French! Language nerd alert.) I'm washing it all down with a glass of Pinot Noir and not taking a single moment of this for granted...I'm exactly where I want to be right now.

Check back tomorrow for more photos - my friend Ellie will be arriving and we plan to have a full day of adventures! :)

  1. Amazing! When I went to Paris a few years ago I was almost that close to the Eiffel Tower. Your French must be great, I was so nervous they would look at me like a lunatic just trying to ask how much a croissant and coffee were haha. Enjoy that beautiful city and wait till the Eiffel Tower starts to (literally) sparkle. It is magical!

  15. It used to be you bought CPM (cost per thousand) in large-scale campaign Web site and hope that the good performance of these ads and get traffic to your website. Now, there are many choices, there is usually a for each event better than the other run. It appears that the use of network marketing the best way to get return on investment cost per click online marketing tool, the strategic point. 토토사이트
